My path to becoming a sports hypnotherapist in Galway has been a varied one. As a young teenager, I lived for sport but a serious knee injury at 19 put a sudden stop to all of that. I was unable for many years to get back to the fitness levels I enjoyed previously and this led to a lot of frustration and negative thinking. In searching for what I could do, I became fascinated by the incredible potential of the human mind, especially in the context of athletic performance. I was working in other areas but always reading and learning about mindset. I always stayed interested in sports and coached underage teams when our children were younger. It wasn’t until I lost sight in one of my eyes that I changed career completely. When I started learning and working with Hypnosis it felt the most natural thing to do. I have witnessed the powerful results people have been getting working with them to unlock their unlimited potential.

A few famous sportspeople over the years who have used Hypnosis to improve their game include Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson in boxing, Arnold Palmer and Tiger Woods in Golf, to name just a few. These and other professionals like them were always looking for that extra edge that will help them perform to the best of their ability.
I got to learn how valuable your mental attitude is no matter what setbacks or challenges you may face. Nowadays, I have several marathons under my belt; I know firsthand the mental challenges that come with pushing your limits.
I've seen talented athletes falter not because of physical limitations, but because of mental blocks. I've witnessed teams with incredible individual talent struggle to come together cohesively. And I've experienced my own battles with self-doubt.
These experiences led me to dive deep into the world of hypnotherapy and mental performance coaching. Since 2007, I've been using individualised hypnosis methods to help athletes and teams break through their mental barriers and achieve their goals.
While my passion lies in Mind Coaching for sports performance, I also work on dealing with a range of other emotional challenges. Whether it's overcoming anxiety, speaking in public, quitting smoking/vaping, alcohol issues or managing weight, I bring the same level of dedication and personalised care to every client.
